Portfolio inventories
Award inventory, invention inventory, and patent-family ledger.
Initial paid product
Cognivito will organize and review the included records, identify supported findings and unresolved questions, and deliver a prioritized roadmap for improving the company's federal invention and patent-management process.
The Review is not a compliance certification and does not guarantee title, patent rights, agency acceptance, funding, commercialization, or any other external result.
Public pilot scope
The scope also includes review of related iEdison records, selected ownership and assignment records, and one presentation meeting.
Deliverables
Award inventory, invention inventory, and patent-family ledger.
Award-to-invention matrix and related reporting-status summary.
Ownership and assignment issue list plus government-support-statement review.
A source-linked summary of included utilization and commercialization information.
Supported findings separated from unresolved questions and missing evidence.
Prioritized actions without assuming every issue is curable or within scope.
Known recurring and trigger-based actions, each subject to source verification.
A recommendation for ongoing intake, ownership, coordination, and defined counsel.
Process
Confirm the client, scope, competence, jurisdiction, coverage, timing, and engagement terms.
Collect only the included records through an approved process and maintain a source index.
Identify responsible factual owners and develop chronology without substituting assumptions.
Connect awards, inventions, patent families, reporting, and ownership records.
Separate evidence-supported findings, open questions, boundaries, and specialist triggers.
Correct factual errors, finalize the report, present priorities, and decide the next scope.
Fit
The strongest fit includes meaningful federal R&D and patent activity, available records and personnel, enough complexity and budget for a professional review, and a company willing to accept fact-specific results rather than a promised outcome.
The Review may not fit when there is no meaningful federal R&D or patent activity, the company already has an effective integrated internal process, the request is only for low-cost portal entry, the company cannot provide records or personnel, the work exceeds Cognivito's competence, coverage, or jurisdiction, or the company seeks a guaranteed result.
Excluded from the pilot
Patent drafting or prosecution and formal patentability, validity, enforceability, or infringement opinions are excluded.
Major historical remediation, inventorship or ownership disputes, and guaranteed correction of historical defects are excluded.
Licensing negotiations, transaction due diligence, and domestic-manufacturing waiver work are excluded.
General SBIR/STTR grant administration or proposal writing, tax, accounting, export control, cybersecurity, and general government-contracting advice are excluded.
Unlimited agency communications and any guarantee of compliance, title, rights, funding, commercialization, or agency action are excluded.
Excluded matters may be offered under a separate written scope only when Cognivito is competent, insured, authorized, and appropriately supported.
