Your Information

Privacy Policy

What this website collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: your information is used to respond to you and improve the site, and it is never sold.

What I collect and why

Contact form. If you send a message, the form collects your name, email address, optional phone number, a topic, and your message. It exists so I can reply to you. Submissions are processed by Formspree, the form service this site uses, and delivered to my email.

Scheduling. If you book a call, scheduling runs through Google Calendar's appointment booking. Google collects the information you enter on the booking page (name, email, and anything you add) under Google's own privacy terms.

Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate region, how you found the site). I use this to improve the site. I do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors.

Newsletter. If an email signup is offered and you choose to subscribe, your email address is stored with the email service used to send updates. Signing up is always optional and is never required to download anything on this site.

Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Netlify, which like most hosts keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operations.

What I do not do

I do not sell your information. I do not share it with marketers. I do not send spam. Information you submit is used to respond to your inquiry, evaluate whether I can help you, and, if we work together, to do the work.

Retention

Inquiry emails are kept as ordinary business correspondence. If you become a client, information is kept per my file-retention practices and professional obligations. If you never become a client, you can ask me to delete your inquiry and I will, unless conflict-checking or legal obligations require keeping a record of it.

A note on confidentiality

Privacy and attorney confidentiality are different things. Before an engagement is in place, please do not send confidential details about your invention or dispute. The disclaimer explains why.

Third-party services used by this site

Each operates under its own privacy policy.
