Website information
Privacy Notice
This notice describes website-related information practices for Cognivito. It does not replace the confidentiality and data terms of a signed client engagement.
Effective August 6, 2026
Information you choose to provide
Contact forms may collect your name, contact information, company, location, role, general matter category, nonconfidential summary, timing, referral source, and Federal Innovation Counsel fit information. The forms also record limited attribution fields such as the page on which a visit began, the referring page, and campaign parameters when present.
Do not submit passwords, invention details, unpublished claim language, privileged communications, export-controlled or classified material, security-sensitive information, sensitive personal information, or documents through a public website form.
How website information is used
Cognivito uses inquiry information to assess fit, identify conflicts, communicate about a possible engagement, route a request, maintain business records, improve website usefulness, protect the website, and comply with applicable obligations. Information may be retained when reasonably needed for those purposes, including conflict records and legal or security requirements.
Form processing
Website forms are currently processed through Formspree. Information submitted through a form is transmitted to that service and then delivered to Cognivito. Do not use a public form for confidential material. Formspree's own terms and privacy practices also apply to its processing.
Optional analytics and local storage
Cognivito uses Google Analytics only after a visitor chooses “Allow analytics.” The configuration limits advertising features, disables Google signals and ad-personalization signals, and does not send form answers as analytics event parameters. Google may nevertheless process device, browser, network, and interaction information under its own terms.
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. Session storage may temporarily retain campaign attribution so the source of an inquiry can be understood. You can clear browser storage to reset those choices.
Sharing and service providers
Cognivito may disclose website information to service providers that support hosting, form delivery, security, communications, analytics, and professional operations; to professional advisers; when required by law; to protect rights or security; or in connection with a business transition subject to applicable professional duties. Cognivito does not state that website inquiry information is sold.
Security and limitations
Cognivito uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the website, but no public website, email, or third-party transmission is guaranteed secure. The website is not a client portal. Once a matter is accepted, use only the communication and document-transfer methods provided for that engagement.
Your choices
You may continue without optional analytics. You may also ask about website information associated with you or request a correction or deletion, subject to conflict-record, legal, security, professional, and operational retention needs. Cognivito will evaluate requests under applicable law and professional duties rather than promise a right that may not apply in every circumstance.
External links and changes
The website links to government, professional, scheduling, mapping, review, and other third-party services. Their practices are governed by their own notices. Cognivito may update this notice as services or obligations change; the effective date above identifies this version.
